| MAGINNESS WELCOMES PSNI DRUGS HAUL - 1st August 2009 SDLP North Belfast MLA Alban Maginness has welcomed the seizure of a substantial amount of ecstasy tablets at a house on York Road on Saturday by police. He said: “I welcome potentially fatal drugs being taken out of circulation. Ecstasy tablets and their distribution pose a considerable risk to people in North Belfast, not least our teenagers and young children, who are taking risks at a considerably young age. “I’m glad the PSNI has hit these drug pushers where it hurts –their pockets- and I urge anybody with information surrounding the manufacture and distribution of class A drugs in our local community to pass it to the police. “Drugs
pose a huge risk to our community. Hopefully this find will tell
those who peddle in its profit that their actions will not be
tolerated.”
