MAGINNESS WELCOMES SHORE ROAD DEVELOPMENT ANNOUNCEMENT SDLP North Belfast MLA Alban Maginness has welcomed today’s announcement by ASDA to create 150 new jobs at a new store at the Loughshore Playing Fields on the Shore Road. Mr Maginness stated: “Today’s announcement is welcome and will form part of a much larger mixed use residential and commercial development on the site. I hope that the jobs created will be focussed on, and to the benefit of, the local community in North Belfast. This development will provide many benefits for the local community including children’s play areas and a multi purpose community building. I hope that this will help anchor the new development as a part of the community and from a significant part of the redevelopment of the Shore Road. This area has been neglected for some time and projects such as this which include and enhance the local community, alongside government initiatives, can help address that neglect.”
