MAGINNESS CONDEMNS OLD WESTLAND ROAD ARMED ROBBERY SDLP North Belfast MLA Alban Maginness has condemned those responsible for holding a knife to a 69 year old woman’s throat after breaking into her home in the Old Westland Road area of the city in the early hours of this morning. Mr Maginness stated: “This must have been a truly shocking and horrifying experience for the woman who was attacked. I know that the thoughts and best wishes of the community are with her at this difficult time. There has been a number of these kind of break ins to gain access to car keys in the area in recent times and we all must be aware of this danger. The
people responsible for this crime have obviously no concept of
or care for the damage and suffering they cause. They should be
apprehended and prosecuted to the full extent of the law before
they get a chance to carry out a similar attack. Anyone with any
information on this incident should contact the local PSNI as
soon as possible.” |
