KIDNAP ROBBERS MUST BE CAUGHT
SDLP North Belfast MLA Alban Maginness said the vicious gang which
is kidnapping families and forcing people to take money from their
workplaces must be put out of business quickly.
He said: “It is now clear that there is a highly organised
gang targeting people in North Belfast. If they try to wrap the
green flag or some other flag around them, they should be treated
with the contempt they deserve.
“These people have decided to make their living by holding
loaded guns to the heads of children. By their own choice they
are criminals, and that is how they must treated by the courts
and eventually by the prison service. It is also how they must
be treated by all of us right now. The time has come to take a
stand – for a lawful society, for proper policing and against
criminals of all kinds. Everyone who can help the police should
do so right away, before this gang puts a gun to another child’s
head.”
