CONDEMNS NORTH BELFAST SHOOTING
SDLP North Belfast Assembly Member Alban Maginness has condemned
the shooting of a man in North Belfast on Wednesday night.
Mr Maginness said, “It is completely unacceptable for anyone
to carry out rough justice like this. Many of us had hoped the
days of paramilitary-style attacks were behind us, but there are
still those intent on stirring up tensions and taking the law
into their own hands.
“I would appeal to local people to assist police in tracking
down those responsible as they are no friend of the community
in North Belfast.”
