MEETING
AT 10AM SHARP AT THE PARADE RING
Planning
Policy Statement 14 effectively puts an end to the tradition of
farmers giving building sites to their sons or daughters. This
isn’t Emmerdale - people in Northern Ireland have lived
in scattered rural communities for centuries. People want to live
where they were born and reared
PPS14
runs directly counter to our rural way of life, because it has
the potential to reduce the rural population. It is a direct threat
to rural communities, to sporting organisations, country schools,
shops and post offices, rural heritage and history.
WE
CAN WORK TOGETHER TO DEFEAT THIS THREAT
When
our devolved institutions are restored, the SDLP will immediately
seek to have PPS14 overturned.
LET
US KNOW IF YOU ARE TAKING PART IN THE SDLP PROTEST: Please email
sharon.haughey@niassembly.gov.uk
to confirm whether or not you can attend. It is important as many
MLAs, councilors and members attend as possible.
