MAGINNESS ‘OMAGH FAMILIES NEED AN ALL IRELAND INQUIRY’

SDLP Justice Spokesperson Alban Maginness has supported a call from the relatives of the Omagh bomb victims that more must be done to track down those responsible.

Mr Maginness said, “There are still enormous questions around the single biggest atrocity of the conflict, including the role of MI5. The families of victims and the people of Omagh deserve answers, they deserve justice.

“The SDLP strongly believes that there is a need for an all-Ireland independent inquiry into all the circumstances behind the Omagh bombing, we have raised this issue with the two governments and will continue to press for justice for the Omagh families.”
